When training with Ian, he always encourages proper form and technique to ensure a safe workout, which is very important. He also has ways to educate and motivate that allow me to get the best out of myself. I enjoy the comfortable atmosphere and the useful variety of equipment his weight room provides. In Ian Edmondson's first email, he sent me a full introduction along with attachments of his certifications. His certifications gave me immediate reassurance only to be more pleased with his coaching. Before meeting Ian, I had no experience in weightlifting and nutrition. Thanks to him, I learned how to use various home gym equipment, safely perform exercises, learn new exercises using the equipment I have with me, structure a healthy meal plan, and, most importantly, stay motivated to maintain all our progress.

Here's why I recommend him to you: Technique & Equipment Ian has a tremendous breadth of experience and knowledge which reflect on his skills and coaching style. He works with me on my technique and focuses on quality vs. quantity. He chooses the exercises and is always conscious to avoid putting pressure on existing injuries. If you don't have any equipment or need additional equipment, he is happy to bring his own which he thoroughly sanitizes. Improvement, Flexibility, & Singularity of Focus I was able to see improvement after just a month because my workouts were perfectly customized to meet my needs, help me tone, and get to my objective which is weight loss. I have also noticed improvement in my flexibility since stretching is an essential part of all workouts. When I first started my sessions with Ian, my mind used to wander. Ian made sure that I focus on the workout which has improved my ability to concentrate and get better results. Time & Professionalism He's very punctual and he is flexible to change his schedule to make sure all his clients are happy. Ian is very patient, detailed-oriented, and very respectful.     I connected with Ian over a mutual interest in fitness and health. I consulted with him several times and he has provided me with a wealth of knowledge regarding weight lifting, stretching, and conditioning. The three areas Ian has helped me the most: 1. Good form Prior to consulting with Ian I was lifting weights but my form was not very good. Aside from lifting the weights quickly I wasnt pausing at the top of the repetition to really feel that squeeze. This has made a world of difference in how I lift weights and I have seen some positive benefits. Ian also stresses its not how heavy you lift its the form and technique that matters. 2. Flexibility and Stretching Ian has showed me some unique exercises which has contributed to better flexibility and movement. For example, he showed me how to do supermans for my lower back which can be done anywhere anytime which is helpful for me because I travel for work. The active hang is a personal favourite of mine and it helps me stretch out my entire torso and back. Ians suggestions have made my body more agile and less stiff. 3. Ian works with you I consulted with Ian for a few months and he will push your comfort zone but he also respects your body and where you are at in your fitness journey. He caters his approach to your personal fitness level. This is refreshing as many trainers use a cookie cutter one sized fits all approach which doesnt work imho. Additionally Ian is a good guy with a pleasant personality. He is calm, balanced, and he has over 35 years experience in this field. It was great to be able to learn and ask questions and tap into his brains 35 years of fitness training. Ian is a good mentor and will teach you how to lift and condition and stretch the proper way. The fundamentals are key and with Ian you are getting a solid foundation that you can build on for life. Jesse
