Although the school itself is a great place many of the staff members are very rude. Despite working to school with students they seem to dislike students. They show little respect to members of the public, and chose to enforce certain rules at certain times but not others. The communication between staff is poor with the principal not being aware of basic aspects of students needs. Im not sure how some of the teachers are supposed to be inspiring when they clearly dont enjoy the company of students. In order to engage students, its important to make them feel worthy, and make school fun, and my interactions with a handful of the staff at this school do not reflect these qualities. Most importantly, a school, especially an alternative school, needs to work hard to address the needs of its students. With rude and dismissive staff members, they are not able to fulfill this responsibility. So to summarize, here are the things they can work on : Being polite, being welcoming, communication between staff, communication with students, and overall, being less judgemental and dismissive of everyones needs.
