Maitland Valley Grotto

Amazing rock, climbing. They changed your borders once a week. Very nice people, highly recommend. Been to many rock climbing places, and this is by far the best regarding community and updating the walls. I hope it keeps growing to provide top roping

I recently relocated to the area, and tried this place on for size - it's totally awesome! The atmosphere is super welcoming, everyone is really nice. The climbs were good, lots of variety in terms of complexity, and you can get a day pass for - I wanna say $15/person, but I might be misremembering. The only thing I would caution you to if you've not been here before is it's way in the back of the building, so keep walking, you're not in the wrong place. Also, I really wish there were change rooms / washrooms / bottle filling stations inside.

Really awesome venue for climbing, the staff and community are super welcoming and encouraging of all skill levels. There are changing rooms and a water fill station for anyone to use, as well as a gym for members in the back. The setting is fun and there is something new every week. Highly recommend even if you've never climbed before.

Great spot to bring kids...our 6, 5 and 3.5 year old had a great time!! and the staff and fellow climbers were friendly and encouraging to the boys!! Will come back again!!
