The General Store

This is place is getting there! Good environment, interesting array of products and feels kind of like a co-op situation as they are very connected with local crafters and artisans. They could benefit from an small oven to warm up the treats the offer and a few of the staff could have better menu knowledge. I will definitely change the review if I see improvements. They are on there way to perfect though.

Great takeout opitions and lovely staff. This is the new place on the block and will take Grand Bend in the right direction for its community.

I visited the store on a Monday and enjoyed lovely live music in the background while I sipped on a delicious cup of coffee. I purchased some wonderful ethically sourced and local products. The best purchase that day for me was a gorgeous little dress made by a local seamstress that I gave as a baby gift. The vibe in this store/cafe is friendly and relaxing.

Went in for a coffee with my husband on a Sunday afternoon in March. Great little shop with spaces to sit and stuff to browse. Asked for a decaf latte and was told they dont have decaf options. The gentleman behind the counter even laughed at me and said that decaf defeats the purpose of having a coffee shop. They didnt have any decaf teas either. I was disappointed but also left feeling put out that asking for anything decaf was such an odd request. While they may not have these options, making a comment like that wasnt necessary.
