Everyone at Wickens Dry Ice Blasting are some of the nicest and caring people I've had the pleasure of dealing with. My mother is currently undergoing chemotherapy for breast cancer and was told about a procedure called "cold capping". Cold capping involves putting caps cooled by dry ice on before, during and after the infusion of the chemotherapy drug. The cold capping has worked really well. My mom was told she would lose her hair 3 weeks after the first infusion. However she is getting her third infusion (of four) tomorrow and has kept most of her hair. While cold capping is effective it is a lot of work and and finding 60lbs of dry ice to cool the caps in Guelph is part of what makes it difficult. However when I called Wickens Dry Ice Blasting and explained what I needed the dry ice for they said they would be happy to donate all the dry ice for all of my mom's treatments. All we had to do was arrange a time to go and pick it up. Chemotherapy is never an easy thing for someone to go through but the kindness that the people at Wickens showed made everything a little easier. My family and I can't thank them enough.
