I am privileged to write this review for our extraordinary realtor Barb Williams who assisted us in purchasing our dream cottage. Working with Barb was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. Her knowledge, expertise, and dedication in finding our family the perfect property was outstanding. From our initial conversation, it was clear that Barb understood exactly what we were looking for in a cottage. She listened carefully to our needs and preferences and was able to narrow down our search to only the most suitable options. Her experience and knowledge of the area was invaluable, and she was always available to answer any questions or concerns that we had. Most importantly, Barb brought some unique intangibles which set her apart. ( She presented cottages that were off the market for the winter as she was aware they would be back on in the spring). [She began with a very admirable strategic approach to start our search, and guided us as needed throughout the entire process until closing]. This was invaluable. She provided great referrals to lawyers whose knowledge of the area proved to be indispensable. The lawyer we chose saved the cottage sale because of a property easement. A big thank you to our lawyer David Shapiera! She also sourced a septic company in the middle of winter to provide an estimate which gave us confidence in our purchase price. These are all things that you don't think about when choosing your realtor. Barb had an amazing team around her to assist us in purchasing our cottage. We could not be more delighted. When we finally found our dream cottage, Barb was there every step of the way to guide us through the purchasing process. She was incredibly organized, efficient, and proactive in ensuring that everything was done on time and to the highest standards. What really stood out to us was her genuine enthusiasm and passion for what she does for a living. It was clear that Barb truly cared about finding us the perfect cottage and was committed to making the process as easy and stress-free as possible. Her positive attitude and friendly demeanor made working with her a pleasure, and we felt confident that we were in good hands throughout the entire process. Overall, we cannot recommend this realtor highly enough. Barb went above and beyond to help us find our dream cottage. After the purchase was complete, Barb had two bunkbeds which we purchased delivered, and assembled for us. She did it personally. Because we were over two hours away, she visited the cottage 4 times over the winter to check on it plus she sent great videos of the snow melting and the deer playing in the trees which our kids loved! Finally, even since the sale was completed months ago, she has been a great resource for handymen and locals to assist. If there is more that she could have done, I don't know what it is. We really consider her a friend now. We are so grateful for their expertise and guidance. This Haliburton dream cottage wouldn't have happened without Barb. Even after the sale was completed, Barb and Rosemarie continued to provide exceptional support. They have given us many suggestions and recommendations to help us get settled into our new home. And in a truly remarkable show of dedication, Barb even drove all the way to our cottage after a recent power outage to turn off the alarm and make sure everything was okay.
