My attempts to contact the company have been futile. I want my windows or my dp refunded. Does anyone know what is going on with them? Are they still in business?

In July 2019 I contracted them to install a window in our cottage. It was to be completed in the fall of 2019. As of now, Fall 2020, there has been no action. At first I was put off with excuses and then my calls went unanswered. Visits to the shop were met with notes on the window indicating a return in the future. Efforts to get my down payment returned were ignored. Worst business experience in many ways. I would go without before employing them again.

From the start there was lack of communication. Not wanting to beg for them to call back, I went to Nortech and thought the prices were higher than Highland Glass offered and came back to Highland Glass when a new rep. Karen came into the picture. We signed up for new; windows and doors in the spring of 2019. I was so impressed with what they could offer that I also asked for a kitchen renovation including vinyl flooring. The November 2019 date was put-off until Spring of 2020 for all the renos and projects to be done. January 2020, we came from the city to sign-up the deal. This virus put them back but they never told us that's what the delay was. Karen called to order the kitchen cabinets (cabinets only no counter-top from Cabinet Smith). January 2020 the cabinets were ordered and now July 2020 they were ordered again--probably not put in, in the first place. Here we are; middle of September 2020 and nobody calls unless they want money and we keep asking what's the status and no-one says when. The builder they hired said we could contact them; Taylor Lougheed and when we do, he says he has to get in touch with Karen for clarification. September 15th. I e-mailed the president; Peter Zahn. Today is Sept. 17th. 2020 I have 02 down-payments totaling almost $15,000.oo and nobody wants to answer me or keep me up-to-date with the status. June 15th. they were supposed to start and I stayed here alone for a week, in case they needed approvals or extra money. Everytime we go back to the city, we have to vacate all the rooms involved, taking everything back'n forth for each trip to the cottage. We bought our own dishwasher, range-hood fan, and vinyl-flooring....they're all up here waiting for the builder to install them and a new; kitchen and flooring and windows and doors. (We paid "Highland" for; Kitchen complete reno(insulation, etc.) + vinyl flooring in the kitchen and living room + windows for all the rooms in the cottage + doors + 02 storm doors) The only advantage that this company has is they never indicated a time when they would do their job. One would think one year later, it would be a reasonable time to get the job done. I could not post this without giving ONE STAR....this is truly an undeserving star.

Not returning my calls or emails for weeks/months & they were not there when I stopped in. They had blamed Covid19 & factory delays since spring 2020. 2 weeks ago I stopped in & receptionist was there, told me their systems were down but promised to call me with an update on my order. Never called me. When I went back last Thursday Nov 12th the landlord was there changing the sign and he told me they were out of business. Looks like my deposit is gone. I am going to try to get info from VinylBilt to see if they have my order. Looking very fraudulent right now.

My husband ordered a Lepage window and door for our cottage (even though it was more expensive than other makes) because it matched the other windows. The sales assistant said she would get back to him about delivery date so after about three weeks with no call he emailed to check, still couldn't tell us! After another couple of emails he was told it would typically be 6 - 8 weeks , still no calls from highland glass, so after he phoned again . This time he was told that because Lepage closed down for two weeks every August it would now be another 4 weeks! that would be three months after placing the order! Husband called again to speak to the manager and also emailed but has had no reply at all. Afraid in future I will have to have windows that do not match. Be warned!!
