Grassroots became available in our rural Flamborough area about a year ago. Finally fast and RELIABLE internet for us out-of-the-city folks! On the odd occasion that there is a problem, the local team gets right on the problem and fixes it, keeping us informed the whole time. If Grassroots is available where you are, it is a no-brainer to switch to them.

I have lived in rural Flamborough for the past 12 years and have constantly been plagued by lack of decent high speed internet providers, and of those that can supply and semblance of decent connectivity and speed, exhorbitant prices and lack lustre support or intermittent connectivity. The usual big 3 suspects are all cellular and spoty due to lack of tower/distance to towers via 4G. I was introduced to Grassroots a while back, but they could not reach over the hills to my valley, but then a neighbour mentioned they were extending out in our area and new tower being put up. I have nothing but praise for these folks: Excellent quick responsive communications, direct and truthful and most of all, clearly commited to getting a signal to my home. Technicians came around to assess possible locations to place the subscriber module (transceiver) and spent the better part of an hour walking the property and even flying a drone around in an attempt to pinpoint a decent location to place the module. Their local tower could not reach my home adequately (in a valley, not line of sight)....no problem, "we'll figure out a plan", to which they placed an access point further down the valley to extend a signal out to my place. I was informed right away about the resolution to get signal to my home and within a day, the technicians were here installing the equipment. They communicated everything they were doing, were clean, coutious and professional and went to great lengths to not damage any property and ensure the roof mount equipment was correctly installed, secured and sealed. I now have fantastic (by rural Ontario internet standards) internet speeds with very low latency and jitter, (vital for kids online gaming needs) and most of all, a local company with ties to the community and a support team behind them that is not farming off their call center to a foreign country. Grassroots Return On Investment, I suspect, is not super high (my assumption), so, investing and outlaying all that effort and expense to place a tower in our area, only to gain a somewhat small footprint of potential customers (no guarantee every local resident is going to jump from their ISP to Grassroots), comes at a huge investment risk, yet they did it anyway. That's huge in my opinion. I Would not hesitate to 100% recommend Grassroots to any locals in my area whatsoever. I am their biggest fan and embasador. Did I mention the price and packages are far better than the closest competitors by far!!! For those seeking a decent, local, caring ISP not out to price gouge but focused on getting internet access to your home, the search is over.
