    I have been attending yoga classes with Hanna Back for over 16 years, after the birth of my second child. Thursday night classes are sacred to me and my friends know not to schedule anything on a Thursday night if they want me to attend! Hanna is attuned to the needs of each individual in her class; while maintaining our privacy, she tailors each class to the diverse physical and spiritual needs of her students. Hanna is very knowledgeable, and her techniques and approaches are well-researched. Consequently, she has helped me to manage the symptoms associated with anxiety, arthritis, peri-menopause, and menopause. The results cant be matched by a typical yoga studio with generic classes; each class of Hannas is therapeutically designed to help heal both the mind and the body. I look forward to my weekly classes with Hanna and I believe that her gentle and compassionate approach to yoga therapy has helped me grow as a person. I now use breathing techniques daily and my body awareness is much greater than it was before I started working with her. This has helped me reduce my stress levels, improve my posture, manage my personal health, and maintain my strength and flexibility as I age. All of that while providing an opportunity to relax! I highly recommend yoga therapy with Hanna Back.

    I am posting this under my spouses account because I do not have a g mail account...Bonnie Brooks My experiences as a student of Hanna Backs Workshops: I have been attending Hannas yoga workshops for the past 4 years, and I am very pleased with what I have learned and how I have improved my health. Her instruction is both warm and professional, encompassing the physical awareness as well as the mind/spirit connection. We all have some kind of body issue, and my main one is my feet. I was diagnosed with severe planar fasciitis. Very flat feet! I was advised by a podiatrist to never walk without wearing my custom-made orthotics in my shoes or I could cause permanent damage. However, I have since learned from Hanna, that the feet can be, with gradual care, strengthened so that orthotics are not always necessary. I can now cross-country ski again and wear a lighter shoe (with-out the heavy insoles) and not have foot pain. Hanna has also taught us how to do squats safelysomething that I have not been able to do since my 30sI am now in my early 60s. These 2 improvements have made my lower body stronger and have improved my balance, allowing potential to do more activities. I am also learning the benefits of breathing exercises to calm the mind and improve sleep. I highly recommend Hanna Back Bonnie Brooks

    A friend asked if I wanted to attend a yoga class with her. When I did, I was quite impressed. I was hoping for a nice way to exercise and relax. Hanna offers much more. Hanna walks you through all the movements to ensure you are performing them correctly and provides the anatomy knowledge to complete the understanding. Her personal approach and understanding of each of her yoginis ensure each person in the class performs the movements within their own limitations. Mindfulness is also a large part of her teachings. Meditation and quieting of the mind are also part of the program. I have been attending for almost a year now. Physically I am more flexible and have a better awareness of my own body. I am now able to quiet my mind and relax through meditation. Thank you Hanna. Mary White
