Several months ago, I came here for a routine eye exam, I needed new glasses (mine were held together with strings and wood glue) so after an eye exam I decided to hit two birds with one stone and shop for glasses while I was at it. After spending several hours looking through their frames and not finding any that I really liked, they told me I could order one that wasn't in stock and try it on later. I left expecting to be called back but at least a month passed and I never got any call.... so I decided to go back and try different styles of frames they had in stock, and see if they've even got that frame I was promised... apparently they had received it, but never really bothered calling me back... mistakes do happen, so no big deal. I decided the frame wasn't for me anyways, and I tried a lot of other different styles of frames again, this time I'm being more specific about what kind of style I wanted to help them find it, but nothing they had matched my specific taste. The person trying to help me, tells me she'll email someone to figure out if they have something closer... she'll call back about it... yeah so again a month nearly flies by, and I somehow don't get any calls, so now I actually give up with that place. I wanted to spend my money "locally" but shopping here for glasses is just very time consuming and just not worth it, so I decide to request my prescription information to buy glasses online (or somewhere else) where I could more efficiently find what I wanted. First off they tell me I need to wait until the optician "signs" a form before giving me my prescription (because apparently that hasn't been done yet) and the optician isn't in today, so I need to wait until that happens to get my prescription, which they've already taken by the way... Second off they tell me my PD is not on the prescription, and they're unable to measure or give me my PD (not even for a fee), and will only do so if I buy glasses from them specifically... so yeah total bummer... definitely don't come here if you want to buy glasses online. Anyhow, they tell me they're able to email me my prescription! Great I think!... eh nope... I waited 2 whole business days and got no emails, making sure to check my spam folder everyday (and what not)... so having learned my lesson about waiting too long for them I come back in person, and politely ask them what's happening... and apparently it wasn't sent and the optician just came back!... (or something) but I honestly didn't care. I just focused on getting my prescription back, so I could order a pair of glasses before 2024. I was told to wait and finally got my prescription. I wish they had an online catalog of the frames they stock, so I didn't have to waste so much of their time trying to figure out what they do/don't have. I wish they called me back when they actually claim they could call me back. I wish they emailed me back when they claim they could email me back. I wish they measured PD, so I didn't have to measure it myself when purchasing glasses online, such as when purchasing prescription sunglasses, custom prescription VR glasses, and safety glasses with prescription inserts. The staff in the store was great, and the opticians where very friendly, and tests went well, but everything beyond that seems like an after though. The process of actually trying to find frames is just not very efficient, and being unable to take all measurements required to buy new glasses if I'm buying them somewhere else, means that they're unable to satisfy my most basic needs, as a person who needs prescription glasses for all kinds of activities.
