I feel like the Oats and More commercial, in saying that "you won't like it", only so that I can keep it for myself! Been coming here since 2016 and somehow it gets better each time. Super relaxing, amenities are great (roughing it without roughing it), and the owners are delightful. Would highly recommend, but not in July/August..."you won't like it" then ;)

Our stay at Lake Edge Cottages was perfect. The cottage was fully stocked with everything we could need for the week. We stayed in Dog Daze which is a 2 bedroom and big enough that my family of 4 with 2 nearly adult kids didn't feel cramped. We loved the gated front deck for our 2 little dogs. I have to mention the hot water was definitely hot and had great water pressure. The grounds are beautifully manicured and very clean. Pets are welcome and fortunately everyone cleaned up after their dogs. We brought our pontoon boat and it fit perfectly on the dock right out front of our cottage. The trent waterway is goes right through the lake we were on. This can be both fun to see the big boats and a bit of a pain as the water can get rough. We chose to find it fun and got out there on the kayaks and just enjoyed the lake. Our hosts Steve, Anne and Jacob were extremely nice and welcoming. Anne's mom was very pleasant and I'm sad to say I did not get her name. We explored as much of the area that we could. The turtle pond is lovely just make sure you're fully covered or the mosquitos will feast on you. The pool is so clean and perfect if you're not a lake swimmer like me. We had a great time and will be back. Just an FYI if you bring a boat make sure to back it down the road!

Lake Edge cottages is such an amazing cottage resort. They have everything you could think of from beautiful lake views, great fishing, in ground swimming pool, hot tubs, Wi-Fi, camp fires, lots of space to explore and so on! It is conveniently located in Lakefield which is a little town filled with tons of shops and boutiques. To top it off, Lake Edge cottages is dog / pet friendly! I would absolutely recommend this cottage resort to EVERYONE as it offers a wide range of attractions for all. Truly a 5 start experience. Thank you Anne, Steve and Jake. Cant wait for next year!
