Queensway Long-Term Care and Retirement Community

Terrible place to work!!! Management is awful and treat you like trash. Management has 0 respect for there employees. Dietary aide department is a joke they do not cook anything, it is all processed frozen food, instant mashed potatoes, canned fruit. They also prepare there toast at 5 am so the residents get a soggy nasty piece of toast at 8 for breakfast. There fridge is COVERED in mold it is absolutely disgusting! The recreation department does nothing for the residents, they hide in an office all day. The residents health has severely declined in this home due to poor care and mistreated. The Executive Director (Donna) is an awful human - she is a huge bully! Her bullying pushes employees to have mental health breakdowns. Stay far far away from this place and NEVER apply!

My 95 year old father spent his final days in the care of the compassionate staff at Queensway. During our last visit before his passing, he told us that he was happy there and that the people were wonderful. Even though he wasn't very communicative, it was apparent that he was well cared for and attended to. People are very quick to criticize these facilities for perceived shortcomings. Therefore I feel it is equally important to speak out when they do things right. Queensway is not the newest or grandest long term care home out there but the care and obvious pride in their work by the staff stands out. I am very pleased that my dad was so well cared for and content during his last weeks and am grateful to the people of Queensway LTC for that.
