Muskoka Family Dentistry

This dentist is awful. I had a scheduled appointment, sitting in the waiting room and because another patient had arrived at the wrong day and time, she TELLS me I have to reschedule MY appointment so that the other patient can have mine! She didn't ask me if I would give up my appointment but TOLD me I had to. Not very professional but mean spirited. I asked that I be credited the $50.00 for a cancellation with less than 48 hours notice as she would have charged me if I had cancelled. I felt my time is just as important as hers. She was suppose to call me in that regard but never did. She charges more than the Health Gov. Ontario allows. After a previous appointment I checked the fee schedule for the restorative cost ( code #23322) to replace a filling she had previously filled in 2013 and she charged $226.00 for all of 20 minutes in the chair. She continually tries to sell me a mouth guard and says I need crowns. My neighbour used to go to her as well and has since gone elsewhere for the same reasons. (high fees, pushing the mouth guard, insisting on crowns) I have a new Dentist now and would NEVER recommend Catharine Zokal.

charge a 600.00 fee to me for a missed apt. that i took less than 24hrs before because they had a cancellation. Not impressed. FURTHERMORE the work I had successfully completed became INFECTED, and further work was needed to correct this new Dentists hack job. BEWARE!

Terrific family-focused environment. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Best in town, IMO.
