MHO Adventures

MHO client since 2010. I've been on 10 MHO trips (Missinabi, Moose, Bonaventure, Mountain, Keele and Noire), all memorable, sometimes with family, sometimes with others. Erin has been wonderful as owner, guide and fellow traveler, all depending on the adventure. Her guides are first rate. Planning, flexibility, itineraries, equipment, logistics, instruction, guides and meals are the best. My 2022 trip was with 2 grandsons, ages 6 and 12, on a family-friendly, dads & lads trip on the Noire River in western Quebec. We were 3 families with two guides in 4 canoes. It worked well. My 6-year old was my bow man for 5 days on the river. This was his first wilderness camping trip and first time in a canoe. His brother was on his 4th MHO trip since age 6 (2nd time on the Noire) and paddled both bow and stern with others throughout the trip. Our group included 5 adults and 5 youth (ages 5 - 12), including 2 MHO guides. Everyone paddled and played well together. The river and the weather cooperated. Rafting on the Ottawa River made for a nice, concluding, half-day adventure before our final night as a group and saying goodbyes. Thank you MHO for another fun adventure and wonderful memories with family and new friends.

Awesome - our group was comprised of 5 - 17 year old boys who had been cooped up through covid - was a great experience for all of them, they paddled hard, had great adventures and came home safe, happier and healthier. Thank you!

My team and I went on a 3 day guided adventure in Temagami with MHO. To say they exceeded our expectations would be an understatement. Everything was so well organized. The food was INCREDIBLE!! and for those who were less experienced paddlers (like myself), they were great at coaching us on how to navigate the waters. Each day was amazing and we all left feeling both relaxed and energized. Thank you MHO for making this team bonding experience one we'll never forget. We plan to make this an annual experience, so until next year!
