Arowhon Pines inside Algonquin Park

Amazing Algonquin Park experience this Fall. Colours through Park were breathtaking. Resort had great food, professional and friendly staff and services. Amenities included hiking paths, tennis and pickleball court, games room with table tennis and chess. Rooms were comfortable but small. Walls did not keep out all noise from other rooms or common area. Daily price is high but the once in a lifetime experience is worth it.

The accommodation was wonderful. Dinners were small and when they said it was lobster night, we expected a lobster tail - not a claw. Theresa appeared from time to time but could have been much more visible, as she has a vibrant personality. The fellow ( likely another manager ) who worked there with a beige shirt and a light beard was unfriendly, impatient, didn't really have time for anyone, and almost appeared annoyed if you ever asked him a question. The servers were terrific! We loved swimming and sitting around the octagonal dining room following meals. Very relaxing. The highlight for us of the trip was to the Portage Store where we hired a guide to show us the Tom Thomson Cairn, and we paddled for 4 hours. It was exhilarating! This is a special resort and the hefty price reflects that.
