The Lone Pine Inn

Rooms: Newly redecorated and very nicely done! We had a 2 queen on the bottom floor with a walkout patio door to the lake. We sat at the picnic table at the edge of the lake and listened to the loons. It was such a great change from the chain hotels/motels on our cross country trip. It was a little oasis just a few mins from the highway. Highly recommend this place if you are heading through/to Ignace. The people are so nice and welcoming. Food & drinks: Amazing breakfast provided- lots of choices and a great little sitting area to relax and enjoy the fresh made food.

Safety: The highway traffic is neither seen nor heard. Grassy area between motel and beachfront. The stairs to the second level were very sturdy and fire proof. Walkability: Although the entire motel is beachfront, there is a bigger public beachfront just a short distance away. The roadway is forested on one side on the way to the public beach.

This was a great gem. Right on the lake. Beds were very comfy, and the rooms were quiet. The breakfast was fresh fruit and other toppings with yogurt, lots of other breakfast options (cereal, toast), but they also came out with freshly baked cinnamon rolls! Loved the history of the hand made old wooden furniture and it was COLD when we arrived, but I imagine this place must be a wonderful place to stay in the summer right next to the lake. Rooms were comfy, light left on for us for our after hours arrival. Room was great and bathroom clean. Nice handmade furniture and art.
