The Baker in Pajamas

I'm not usually one to leave a bad review but this baker left me scrambling at the last minute to find an alternative for my dad's 80th birthday. At first I was happy she could accommodate my order with 2 weeks notice. She responded quickly initially and with good details, but the next day I had to prod her for an answer about the design of my order and she said she 'forgot to get back' to me. Admittedly, the way I worded one question could have been misinterpreted, and it was, but I clarified what it was I wanted. It was at this point that she stopped responding. I assumed she had no more questions about my order and was going to follow through. I gave her a full week before I contacted her again to ask about the price of the order and the flavours, which she had told me she would send after we decided on the design. Our messages were through Facebook Messenger, so I could see when any of my messages were opened on her end. I could see that they were opened but I still didn't get a response . Two days later I messaged again saying I hadn't heard from her and to please respond. Again my message was opened but no response. Two days after that was the day before I needed my order and I said since she hadn't responded I assumed she wasn't doing it and I had no choice but to find an alternative. Again, message opened and no response. I understand if something came up or she chose not to take me on as a client. But it was completely unacceptable and just poor business practice to leave me hanging, and to not even have the courtesy or make the time to send a quick response. Clearly there was enough time for my messages to be read and it would have taken just a minute to say she could no longer do the order. At the very least, an apology after my last message as I had to scramble to find something and it was a poor substitute.

We ordered a theme based baby shower cake and Keerthi did a great job, we got exactly what we wanted. She is approachable and creative. She tries to accommodate what the customer wants. The taste was also amazing. Recommend her 100%.

I would pick 10 stars if I could. Last minute custom order! The cupcakes were amazing (to look at and to eat) highly recommend !!!!

Please read till the end!!! Does the cake on the left does any justice to the cake pic on the right !!?? Had dreamt of this birthday cake for my baby girls for 6months. Very disappointed with the outcome I did ask for babies instead of the toddler girls. But still Edit to Add: During our conversations we agreed that, it was an honest mistake on both parties end. She went to the extent of bringing it up in the review. So I am not going to keep quiet. Also I paid a good amount for the cakes. I am very upset that she ruined my dream cake. This professional baker spoke to me in hurry for couple of minutes two times and I mentioned the right date on phone. She assumed the delivery date based on my SIL post without confirming with me. When she sent me final details of the cake. I did not pay attention to the date (I was very overwhelmed taking care of two sick babies all alone). I thought she is just confirming cake details to be double sure. Somehow overlooked the fact that she mentioned date in there. Please note cake was not fresh at all. I doubt she gave me the same one. Do not recommend the eggless cake, very dense. Plus I mentioned to her during our conversation that I am apprehensive about giving too much sugar to my babies. She said there wont be much sugar and to my surprise it was loaded with sugar. Do not recommend cake smash cake for the same reason. I hate the concept of receiving frozen cake and defrosting it 1hr too. Overall had a bad experience with this so called cake artist. Angry mother

We ordered a customized cake and Keerthi helped us design it based on our requirements and matching our theme. She even went further to help us select the best flavour for the cake. We loved her work and it was totally value for money. Lastly, the cake was yummy!
