GLō Best Western Kanata Ottawa West

Got a cold response from the front reception especially Mr. Dimitri while checking in. Not at all welcoming. Not sure if it was a language problem or attitude problem or anything else. Good reception is very much required for travellers on entering accommodation after a long trip/drive. The rooms were good and the hotel was well located. This is a nice, new, quiet, basic hotel. It is just off the highway and is about a 15 minute drive into Ottawa and to shopping. There is a grocery store on the same street and it is only about a 5 minute drive to lots of restaurants. The beds and pillows were a little too soft for me but some people like that. The free breakfast was great. Our group was able to use the dining area near the lobby at night to watch TV and socialize. I also took advantage of the modern work out room that included apps and TV's on each machine. There is a great restaurant called Tommy's just 2 doors down from the hotel that is worth a visit to as well. I would recommend this hotel.

Just terrible...was waiting for the teletubbies to pop out and match the decor.The breakfast is hideous eggs and cut up hotdogs just disguting! Rooms : 1/5 | Service : 1/5 | Location : 1/5 More

I am a Diamond member and did not get a better rate; wifi did not work until I went down to get reset, I wanted to do laundry, but you don't have coins; why are they not on debit cards? Breakfast sausage look and tastes like hotdogs sliced up. The mattress slides off wood frames.
