Compass House

Second time staying at the Compass House. Beautiful crisp mornings by the river and a friendly game of horseshoes during the day. Great evenings with friends by the fire. Lots of rooms and very unique as well as rustic. Rooms were clean and warm, with an excellent main room with a roaring fire and kitchen. The Hosts were excellent and accommodated all our needs. Definitely find me there again soon!

What a beautiful place! Quiet and peaceful! It is set on a large forested area with a river in the back where you can swim, kayak, and I really enjoyed just sitting in my chair, in the water, catching some rays and having a few drinks. The rooms are beautiful, the king size bed was so comfortable, and the ensuite bathroom was spacious and very clean! I was thrilled to see all the attention to details given with the design. Everything in the room made you feel like you were in your own personal log cabin. The fireplace and mantel, the wood details around the sliding door, the forest mural behind the bed brought the feeling of nature and the outdoors into the room. The black out curtains were great! I also enjoyed the large patio fitted with tables, a bbq, lots of chairs, and a firepit where we enjoyed roasting marshmallows and making smores.
