Ok so it's bad enough I have mental health issues but now I've got severe panic attacks, can't have my kids or any company as there called names and told they don't belong here. I've been called stupid by the superintendents as well as being accused of bringing bugs here. A week before I moved in here I begged them if there were bugs....Oh no don't worry with the superintendents that takes of the building are super clean. well let me tell ya if the superintendents stopped blaming people and did there job properly we wouldn't be having to live outta boxes. I HATE IT HERE.

I've seen a number of complaints about Homestead, but from my own experiences I've never had many issues with them. Compared to the horror stories I've heard regarding other landlords, Homestead does keep up with their maintenance, and will show up when asked. They even go as far as to do major renovations when necessary; Bradstreet for example had every window replaced, elevators gutted and rebuilt, a major upgrade to their camera systems, upgraded their entry system, and replaced all the hallway light fixtures. These major retrofits would have likely cost substantially more than the rent they were pulling in over for some time. They have been fair when it comes to past-due bills (though that could also be pandemic related). I've also lived in two separate Homestead buildings as a tenant, and so far I've never had major issues (Bradstreet and Normandy). Although my experiences with their staff have been varied, the overall trend is that they're professional. I've always been courteous with them, and they have returned the favour. One thing I've noticed in the reviews for this office specifically is regarding Vicki; from the time I was in communication about the unit, to allowing me to inspect the unit, to signing the lease, and every time I've spoken to her since, I've never had any issues whatsoever - nothing that related to anything the other reviews hinted at. The only thing I can think of is that those reviewers acted unprofessionally, and Vicki doesn't tolerate BS. If that's the case, I can respect that. Although Homestead is a corporate-style landlord, they do have staff that care, and although they're pretty strict with paperwork, they don't rules-lawyer unless you really mess up. If you run into an issue, treat them with respect, and they should return the favour. If they don't treat you with respect, don't hesitate to contact their head office at 80 Johnson; I remember one less-than-stellar superintendant at Bradstreet leaving not too long after they were hired, so I know they do keep tabs on their staff.

My girlfriend and I went to apply for 130 parkway and after emails back and forth helping us apply to our first place we ended up going to 200 parkway to drop off the rest of the information like the email asked of us. upon arrival Vicky did not wear her mask while letting my girlfriend in and only her and proceeded to make her feel very uncomfortable. you should be helping first timers. also she asked to see the balance of our accounts when we showed the money coming in. I have never heard of that seeing someones balance and i have friends who work for buildings. felt completely insulted with how the whole meeting was handled. the place is beautiful but the management is not. will be talking to head office of homestead to also explain. definitely recommend on teaching staff your procedures. if we are told to come at before 5 not at a specific time don't make us feel like an inconvenience. also my girlfriend asked for the scanned papers of her ID and scan of the deposit that Vicky did and she ripped them up when she was on the phone with Megan and my girlfriend asked again after she ripped it. when my girlfriend was asking she put it in the trash and said no its in the trash and then my girlfriend left out very sad and upset.
