Maple Family Health Team Inc

The quality of the health team and after hours clinic has gone down considerably. There is no privacy when you're registering for service. I brought my daughter for a female health related issue and the entire waiting room could hear us and the reception raised very voice unnecessarily to several folks. It was borderline obscene.

I have been a patient with Dr. Sangster Gibson for 27 years. Before moving to Maple health, she was very attentive, I often had an opportunity to see her and she was everything that you wouldve wanted in a doctor! Upon moving to the Maple Health team I believe I may have seen her once or twice and the rest of the time I see the nurse practitioner. On top of the fact, after returning from a year abroad, Ive been advised that I am inactive patient. Meaning, I no longer have a family doctor. Once calling the reception, who are often rude and disrespectful. They advised me that the only solution was for them to apologize. I asked about information for a walk in clinics, and they advised me that I could use Google search it. They had no further details on what can be done here. No notice was given to me, no release forms Nothing. The receptionist are often rude, youre often seeing a nurse practitionerYou dont even have an opportunity to see the doctor. And I feel as though the respect and care for their patience has disappeared. And due to the fact that theres a shortage of family doctors and people are often on the search for them, I believe that they get away with poor behaviour . I do not recommend this clinic.

I am not a patient here but my partner is. I called to make his appointment and was completely taken aback by how rude and unwilling to help the receptionist was. After listing off the reasons he wants to be seen, she advised they no longer do physicals and if its a problem he should go to emerg. But he has a doctor to be able to make appointments with so why would he go to emerg?? My takeaways from this interaction: the receptionist is rude and needs to have her attitude checked and the clinic seems to have policies in place to make booking an appointment as difficult as possible.

Have had a fantastic experience with this health team. Both the front team as well as my doctor. So relieved that they worked so hard and were so caring during covid times. Thx!

My children and I have been patients since Maple Family Health team opened. Dr. Priesntiz has been wonderful in addressing any concerns I may have. She takes the time to listen and makes the necessary recommendations. She always thoroughly explains and investigates any health concerns. Her follow up has always been fantastic. The nurses and care staff have also been good. There have only been a couple instances with the receptionists and a med student that were less than optimal. But that happens, it was addressed and did not have any further issues.
