James was awesome! He did what he said he would do, was on time, on budget and even went over and above by doing little things that got the project approved by the city inspectors. This was not an easy project as inspectors are tough on secondary dwellings in a basement apartment and every fire code rule and fire rating spec had to be met by James and his diligent crew. I highly recommend hiring j3l drywall for your small or big projects. James answers his phone personally and constantly checks into the job site to make sure jobs are going as planned. When another local drywall company left us with a completely uneven, barely sanded mess that was meant to be a "smooth finish" on our entire basement ceiling and refused to honour the 1 year warranty on their work, we were so discouraged. We reached out to a few drywall companies asking if anyone could make the necessary fixes, but James at J3L Drywall was the only person who took the time and effort to come and see the ceiling and offer up multiple potential solutions. More than that, James genuinely cared that we were mistreated by another drywall company and did everything in his power to get us the best possible price and discounts on labour and materials. James then put us in touch with Mitch, who was equally caring and sympathetic to what we had been through. He was punctual, professional, hardworking, kind and courteous. He also communicated with us every step of the way, which was huge for us and helped us to feel like we were in good hands. He did everything in his power to make sure that we were happy with the end result. His work is absolutely incredible and we are beyond thrilled with the final result! Please hire J3L Drywall. James and his crew are absolutely amazing. His honesty, integrity and attention to detail was an outstanding. His work ethic and commitment to the job was exceptional. James and his crew were polite and very accommodating always willing to problem solve to find the best solution. Ok folks these guys are true professionals and wow the quality of work is off the chart!! When you call them, the owner James will talk to you, visit you, listen, give options and suggestions..... Now RELAX as you may think most companies are buttering you up to get the job and charge the heck out of your wallet which is most often the real experience BUT using J3L now for a couple weeks they are true to their word and are very fair with the cost but most importantly the quality of workmanship is fantastic!!! Our work needed is not that big but we are treated as if we are their only customer so if you want small drywall repairs and your a little apprehensive, trust me CALL J3L. I plan to update this review in a week or so to add photos and our final opinion but for now give James a call and if you're fortunate enough to have Mitch work on drywall finishing, take the time to watch him do his magic! James calls us everyday to ensure our satisfaction! Lastly for now, we are real customers and happy that we found them.
