Our first visit to the Thompson Manor for dinner was excellent, service was great and our meal was awesome. However, our second visit wasn't as good. We arrived on schedule for our reservation and was greeted by our waiter who then "pointed" to the table were we will be sitting. (What happened to walking us to our table and pull out a chair, hand us the menu and take our drink order right away). He then quickly showed up with the menu, wine list and a paper with the evening specials. He didn't even take our drink order at this time, infact it was 25mins later when he finally returned. Also our table wasn't properly set missing one wine glass and a knife on the table and we ordered a bottle of white wine, which was not put in an ice bucket. There wasn't even any friendly banter or conversation coming from our waiter. I will say the food was very good, but the service really sucked. We went there to have a high end dinner experience and received less than high end dinner service. When a dinner for two costs over $300.00 (tip included), and you go to a restaurant with premium pricing, exquisite decor and atmosphere there is a certain level of service that is expected and I feel none of this quality service was met.

Enjoyed a delicious meal in a beautifully detailed setting with wonderful staff, right down to the busboy! Will definitely return for special occasions.
