Kambie Chinese Restaurant

I really like their food because it is very authentic and the price is reasonable. Unfortunately, the business is closing down at the end of the year as the owner is retiring. We will miss them and their food.

Recently moved to the area and was dying to get some food from there. My fiancee is from Hong Kong/Macau so we were pleased that they had authentic dishes on the menu. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the taste and price. The fried rice was severely overcooked and the shrimp in the fried rice was boiled. Everything was completely under-seasoned, especially the deep fried porkchops with garlic. The leftovers were intolerable and tossed out. The meal was $80 for 5 seperate items (not full meal dishes) and by far have had better value from every other Chinese restaurant in London. If you're looking for good authentic Chinese food, go to either Congee Chan or London Chinese restaurant. For the best Canadian style Chinese food, hit up Great Wall of China.

I decided on the week-end that I wanted Chinese food. This is not far from where I live and had been there for lunch on several occasions. I picked up my order and came home. WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT. The use of garlic was way to heavy . The rice was over cooked . At best it was mediocre .

Favourite place for celebration dinners. Food comes out hot, msg free if requested, staff is very accommodating
