Incredibly disappointed with the lack of professionalism, poor communication, and overall lack of moral ethics by the owners of this organization. We had been with them for a year without incident and suddenly they couldn't accommodate my child because of drooling. I was notified by email the Friday of a long weekend and was not given other options or an opportunity to speak to someone about it. I called them out on my child's human rights to when they informed me I would be paying double for 1:1 care and then I was told I was dishonest for not disclosing this behaviour on my child's intake form filled over a year ago. Apparently, they don't understand behaviours change. Rapport previously had been good with owners, we were good clients who always paid on time and provided more notice than necessary in terms of change of care. It seems they only care about their bottom line. If it weren't for the staff (who are good but turnover is high) they would receive 0 stars.

So disappointing how they have treated a very lovely teen boy with special needs post-covid. Ostracized and isolated because of drooling (this change in care was not communicated to the parents of the boy) and then claimed the mom was lying about his needs. And all of this done by the director/owner that wasn't even at the facility and therefore had no first hand knowledge. It was then that the owner refused service to this child and family. Once the family informed the director/owner of the violation of Charter 15 (Human Rights) she quickly offered to continue service, if he remained isolated, at an additional fee. For families that are working hard to financially support a child with needs, shameful is the minimum comment to be made, criminal is more accurate.
