Scotch Line Landfill

Being new to Minden Hills and not used to having to bring garbage and recycling to the dump. I was treated with such kindness and every question I asked was answered in a kind friendly manner and was very helpful. I may the staff at the Scotch Line Landfill are awesome.

Can't calculate cubic yards way overpriced only takes cash for ridiculously high prices. Get some scales already with the money your ripping everyone off with.

What happened to basic human kindness? I am new to the area and this is one of the closest sites near me. I was told my dump card was not recognized there as it's only for Algonquin Highlands and this is in Mindin Hills. I explained I was new, asked if I could at least leave one small bag of household garbage that was leaking in my car and was told absolutely not. I asked if I could pay and was told absolutely not. I tried calling the number for the site and ended up with a town phone system that only gave me a recording of the hours, etc.then hung up. I hope Mindin Hills people are treated better by Algonquin Hills people when they are still trying to get settled and learn the systems. This kind of behaviour and not allowing a small, simple act of human kindness is how you create divisiveness. You need to do better and I will be following up with the town. We can do better as people.
