Used this plumbing company to shut down our cottage this fall. We booked weeks in advance for a specific date. We were there the day they're supposed to come and they called and said they couldn't make it that day due to being delayed with other cottage closings. Our pipes were fine and the heat was on the day they were supposed to be there. They then delayed us everyday for a week. I ended up calling another plumber to close it five days after the booked appointment and he said the pipes were already frozen. They ended up coming on monday and charged me to close my cottage even though all they did was shut off my breaker. This spring we called them to open the cottage and do any pipe repairs which were caused by their inability to make their original appointment and they refused. We asked to speak to the owner directly and they said no. This is his decision so we cancelled and will not be using this company for any future openings or closings.

I contacted Highland Plumbing to have my pressurized cold water tank replaced. The invoice I received was from a Doyle Plumbing whose truck arrived to do the work. I was quoted a cost of $585 to do the work which I thought was expensive but I did not know the cost of the tank itself. The work was completed in one hour & for interest I then checked the price of a tank - it was $240 at Cdn Tire. & I checked the make of the tank installed & it was $250. That means I was charged approx. $300 for a service call & one hour of labour - gouging in my view.

Fixed my pump (in the river), moved my water heater, new sump pump for laundry tub etc etc ... all done , works great and professional work!
