Wintergreen Maple Products

Very accommodating and extremely friendly! We visited mid-week in the winter and they generously opened up just for us relatively last minute. They have a variety of delicious preserves, meats and of course, maple products. Most definitely worth a stop!

Wintergreen is my go-to for Maple products and food gifts in general. Diane and Tom have perfected the art of BBQ sauces, pickles, and sweets. If you like meat and other pies this is a great place for picking up that frozen meal! There is also a variety of smoked meats available, on your bun or frozen to serve at home. This time of year the family is gearing up to start the Maple Syrup production. If you are interested in watching how the process works they will gladly show you around and show you how its done, once the sap is running. Check their website for winter hours and tours. The friendly service and great food will have you coming back! If you need a gift basket, ask Diane. She does a wonderful job in any price range and season

Went as part of a scheduled tour with Yours Outoors. At the time of this review, I dont believe the restaurant was open, which was a bit disappointing. However, the storefront remained open and there was more than enough maple products, preserves and frozen foods that make the trip worth it. The staff member who had conducted our visit (very sorry, I'm horrible with names) was knowlegable and friendly. Although the maple syrups we tried were great, I believe what sets this place apart from other sugar shacks were the 'experimental' maple syrup products we tried. I really loved the jalapeno maple: savoury, sweet and spicy, without being overwhelming. We'll definitely be back if we are in the area - Steve and Amy

Congratulations on 35 years. Weve been stopping here for more than five years. We always bring our friends to visit whenever they come to Haliburton. It is a must stop for anyone in the area. The lunch is a great deal. Loads of bbq meats piled high on a tasty bun. My fav is bbq pork but the turkey and beef are also a hit. Now for the preserves and maple syrup. The store is filled with home made preserves in a variety of sizes and combinations of flavours youve never heard of - asparagus relish!! The building is a work of art and there are loads of stories from all of the artifacts and the owners Red Green Shrine (yup, he really loves him). Make sure to bring along your cash and enjoy everything this incredible place has to offer. You will always be warmly greeted and you will want to share this place with your friends.
