Best trip to Canada in over 40 years. First trip to North Shore Lodge (NSL). Wont be my last. Great food and accommodations, dedicated dock hands and excellent boats. The hospitality demonstrated by Scotty, and instilled in NSLs staff, is exceptional. More importantly, great fishing. Scotty and his brother Tony are extraordinary guides, the best we have ever fished with. Boated, hooked and raised more musky than our last two dozen trips to Canada. Brian C, late July 2019.

Had a wonderful time! Our guide Paul was extremely experienced and helpful. Whether you're a seasoned fisherman or new to the game they will help you catch fish and find the hot spots. The fishing was abundant. The accommodations were fantastic. The grounds were very well kept and beautiful. It was great to catch fish in the morning and have it for shore lunch. If we didn't feel like it that day, we could choose sandwiches, chips and a dessert. We're already planning our next trip up. Scott and Kelly have earned customers for life. I will recommend north shore lodge to everyone we know.

People, This place is a must for your bucket list. The food is fantastic. Really. (our cook, I wonder if she's married!). Different suppers and breakfast every day. Sack lunches , or cook your fish on shore.Adam, our dock hand .. great young man. Boat gassed and baited every morning. Has a livewell. He cleans your fish too. Wipes the dew from your seats. Buy a fishing hot spots map of the lake. An absolute MUST. Cabins cleaned every morning by waitresses. Plenty of hot water for showers. Fishing was great. Caught my first muskie. 36" . First walleye too. Scott, the owner , is instantly a friend. I took 3 rods. One for walleye, one for pike, and one for musky. Scott has a small tackle shop. Lures and swivels, etc. I wore out a reel, and he loaned me one! Ok, downside:#1 The slot limits and possession limits are tight. You can catch them all day , but not keep a lot. Canada's rule, not the lodge. Suspect true everywhere. #2. No coffee makers in room. The tap water is hot enough for instant. No snack machines, so take granola bars, whatever for night time. Take bottled water, a case per person, for a week. For when on lake, not cabin. #3. I drove 7 hours to Chicago. Next day, 14 hour bus ride . Stops , but numb when got there. Bring a cushion to sit on. Next time, I'm flying far and renting a car. But, hey it's not the lodge's fault. Take own alcoholic beverages. Alan Hardison, Waddy Ky.
