Why the Peel Region authorities are taking the joy of life away from us as community residents and tax payers? The recently assembled on public property municipal camera where I used to walk with my dog and children make me feel I extremely uncomfortable and unsafe. It does not matter whether the camera called speed camera or something else, it's a watching device and I did not give my permission to use my images and not sure what my images will be used for. The so-called "community safety zones" only promote frustration and insecurity, and also violate our basic rights for privacy and freedom of movement. I came to Canada from the communist country where we were constantly watched by different devices and punished by authorities. Are we moving to the same direction? Where did the respect for our people go?
