Global Journeys Educational Travel

My time with Global Journeys summer program was one of the highlights of my life and I left with memories that I will cherish forever. My roommate from Global Journeys is actually still my roommate today, five years into undergrad. The coordinators and teachers kept our schedule interesting and busy but never so much so that I felt overwhelmed or that I couldn't complete an assignment. Doing an English class in Europe is so much more fulfilling than in your high school classroom, I can promise you that!

GJ was an incredible program with amazing teachers and a trip leader. The trip was 6 weeks packed with full days of excursions, classes, culture and leisure. I have met some of the most incredible people on this trip that 6 years later, these friendships are still lasting! While this trip is a luxury, it was worth it for the experience, knowlege and culture I was given.

Experiential learning at it's best! Global journeys is the perfect balance between fun and education. In class you may learn about biodiversity and then you will see it first hand in some of the most amazing ecosystems on the planet! The Monteverde Forest region of Costa Rica and the Coral reefs of Bermuda are extraordinary! You will study about the process of science in the course but on site you will see science in action and talk to researcher's about their work at field stations such as BIOS. Courses are designed to help you see the connection between your learning and your experiences! Excursions will allow you to dive deep into paradise! Being involved with Global Journeys Educational Travel Programs is one of the most meaningful things you could do!

My experience with Global Journeys was incredible. I got my Gr.11 Biology credit while studying and exploring in Costa Rica! Waking up in the rainforest, going on daily hikes, visiting waterfalls, zip-lining and spending the day at the hot springs are just some of the high lights I had with Global Journeys. The learning environment was also spectacular. All of our classes were held at a research centre in Costa Rica, which had all the supplies needed for me to succeed. I learned so much on the on line portion of the course which was 2 weeks before the trip. The teacher was so amazing and gave face time lessons. This was my most favourite course I have ever taken. Thank you Global Journeys for providing me with a trip of a lifetime!!!
