NU Hotel

I was charged for the room even though I did not stay. We booked and paid for parking and there was no parking! The front desk person was very rude. It was an awful experience.

The location looks like a dump. Parking at the back is so narrow to get by other cars with junk all around. Elevators are sketchy and it looks like you are walking down a rooming house hall to your room. Rooms have been renovated but sloppily. Not clean. The noise you can hear from other rooms is like there is no insulation in the walls (people in other rooms talking but sounding like they are in the same room doors opening like it was your own door, traffic). Will never stay here again.

Deplorable miserable excuse of a hotel. Took 4 calls and almost an hour before my shuttle arrived. The guy that was working before the 11pm shift did not arrange for the shuttle despite 3 calls and was rude, lacking in basic phone etiquette! The gentleman with the turban who clocked in for the 11pm shift managed to arrange for a shuttle which arrived 10 mins later and am grateful. When I arrived the hotel, it was locked as he had apparently sent a guest to the airport, no matter. Still grateful that he did eventually send the shuttle to pick me up. Then during check in he could not find my booking. Agoda had mentioned it was confirmed but still could not find it eventually Agoda admitted the payment with the hotel did not go through. My reservation was not confirmed immediately as with other bookings either, so was not entirely surprised this happened. After almost an hour or so, the gentleman had discussed with management and allowed me to check in while they resolve it backend. After checking in, and undressed and got ready to shower, realized the shower was just a stream unable to shower and completely exhausted, just went to sleep but barely slept through the night as the air conditioning was so noisy and couldnt figure out how to turn it off either. The morning the shuttle to airport arrived promptly, less than 5 minutes after checking out. Thankfully. Room itself was otherwise quite clean. On my second overnight layover in Toronto, I decided to pay twice the price of Nu for Holiday Inn instead for a peace of mind the stress of getting to and checking into Nu was not worth it!
