I accessed Dr. Azar Bahramis care approximately 3 months ago on the recommendation of my family doctor. From the onset, I felt comfortable with her because, in my estimation, she exemplifies what humanistic psychologist Dr. Carl Rogers called Patient-Centered Therapy. In this approach, patients are provided with an environment that is genuine, empathetic, transparent, courteous, and professional. In such an environment, patients are in the drivers seat of their treatment/care. Patients feel like there are part of the process rather than being dictated to by the doctor. Dr. Bahrami provided that for me because I was not handling the condition I am forced to live with now, very well. She constantly reassured me that there is a solution to my issues, and she will support me through the process. For instance, ever since the diagnosis, I began researching the condition vigorously and found a treatment option experts in the field consider to be experimental. I immediately requested a phone conference to discuss this finding with her. Dr. Barhami called me back and allowed me to vent about my current plight and research discovery. She listened intently and gave feedback on what she knew about the treatment. We then collaboratively worked out a treatment plan, which is currently in effect. I must tell you; I am feeling 98% better physically and emotionally since seeing Dr. Bahrami. As such, I am grateful for the fact that I was able to find a doctor, apart from my family doctor, that listens, and includes me in the planning phase of my treatment. Thank you Dr. Bahrami, you did not only solve the issues I came to you about, but you reassured me that Patient-Centered Care is not a myth: you exude it. Thank you for your encouragements, professionalism, transparency, and authenticity. I am forever grateful.

I'm an athlete and hiker that now can't get out of bed without tears. I'm on crutches for the 6th month due to mystery pain in my foot and ankle and have little use in my hand, among so many other out of the blue joint pain problems. My world has done a 180. Over the phone Dr. Bahrami took me off the anti depressants that had been previously prescribed (used for nerve pain) and put me on a new med that don't help. Not only was there no follow up re: med transition which has gone terribly, but she has refused to take a phone call since or meet me in person. She was my final hope for these mystery pains and sleepless nights. I've called many times and have literally cried to the receptionist of the severity, and I can't even get a call back or a referral for someone that will meet me in person. She has not meet her fiduciary duty as a doctor and I feel so let down with no idea where to turn next. Shame on this clinic for letting another person fall through the cracks of our health care system. This is the pain and problems that people commit suicide over.
