Sent all four of my children to this school - what a pleasant experience. Great school and educational programs. They really care about teaching the children.

I sent both of my children to Peel and I have to say that I am so thrilled that I did. They learned so much academically because they were able to move at their own pace and they also made some lifelong friends as they have kept in contact with their classmates to this day. They were working on complex concepts, from casa through elementary, and actually understood what they were doing. Sometimes they would even come home and teach me something new (to my surprise ), or show me something that I definitely remembered learning when I was older. My children loved going to school and I credit Peel for giving them a passion for learning. Not only am I impressed with the academics, but the whole staff led by Mrs. C made the school a home away from home. Whenever I needed help with behaviours at home, I knew I could rely on great advice, tips, and tricks to help me help my children develop to be their best selves with strong morals, values, and character. My children are now completing postgraduate education and are well rounded academically, socially, and athletically. Peel provided unique learning opportunities both inside and outside of the classroom for my children and memories from Peel still pop up in family conversations!

Im conflicted to write this review. On one hand, the teachers, (some) assistants and environment were great. My daughter learned and progressed a lot from her toddler to pre-casa class. She still remembers Ms Duong, Ms Gomez and Mrs Da Silva to this day. On the other hand, my daughter also vividly recalls the name of the one student in her class before, and the nasty names that she was called by that student and his friends. Ive raised the issue to Mrs Cowdrey, head of school, previously. She assured that she would address it but also reminded me that for their age (3 years old), it was natural for kids to be calling out names (?!?). Yes it is natural for the kids to be calling out names, but isnt the school responsible to address it on an ongoing basis? After that conversation, I continue to see the students calling out names and each time I witnessed that, the assistant would close the door so that I could not see or hear it further. There wasnt any action followed up by the assistant after however. What triggered me to write this review months after leaving the school was when my daughter recently told me the different names Lucas called her and she compared him to another Lucas at the nanny, which was an older kid. For a 3 year old to remember this much detail, does somewhat prove that it wasnt a pleasant experience for her in the classroom previously. The communication to parents can be improved as well. We often receive emails at 10pm on a Sunday night, for action items on a Monday morning.
