This school is very accommodating to students with special needs and people who have suffered through domestic violence. They have a lot of patience and genuine compassion. I'm truly blessed to have my daughter enrolled there under the watch/guidance of the wonderful TA's, teachers, and admins.

Simply the best elementary school around. From JK to grade 6 my son attended, and the staff and support are incredible The communication between teachers and parents is outstanding. Nothing happens without getting a call. The office admin team are also amazing especially Mrs. Patel. The extra supports in place to help students is amazing. The OT's and other outside supports where also amazing. With covid happening and the lack not funding for schools I'm not sure what this looks like today but pre covid, the services were outstanding. An overall positive and welcoming atmosphere and a wonderful place for our kids to learn and grow. I'll never have an issue recommending Settlers Green to anyone, it's a great school.

I thought it was in extremely poor taste for the principal of Settler's Green PS to organize a dance party on the tarmac outside of the school on our National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. I don't think that blasting "Dance Monkey" over speakers into the community does anything to help staff and students reflect on the ongoing impact of the residential school system or to honor survivors and their families. Extremely disappointing. We expect better judgement from the leader of our school. Additional Note: I stopped in to the school today (Wednesday, March 8th) to speak with the principal about an incident in the yard and was told by a staff member that she was unavailable as she was on vacation in Jamaica. Pardon me? Is this for real? How can the principal be on March Break a week before it actually starts? What is going on with this board?

I really miss Ms. All's in the music room at school. She made learning so much fun now we just do the same things over and over again.

This is a school with very bad teachers. My daughter started grade 1 in FI. Since then she had only one good teacher that unfortunately left the school and the city. The focus is only on CRT agenda, and the kids are not teached math, English and French. I've complained many times to the principal, and I had meetings with the school board, and everybody is the same. They do not care about teaching kids at all, only the CRT agenda. The reason that my daughter is going to school is to play with other kids. I teach her in private, since I am a math teacher, and I pay private lessons for her as well for other subjects. The teachers are getting math classes to be teached math, and then they are teaching math our kids (yes, you have read correctly, the Ministry of Education created this program for teachers). This is absolutely ridiculous, and I'm sure the parents doesn't know about that Last year, over 60% of grade 6 students failed in showing they have basic math knowledge. Yes, the principal, is not telling this as well. The school in Canada, in general, it's a joke. CRT agenda is the only one important thing to be teached in school. My advise to everyone is to take care of your kids education, until is not too late, and they do not accumulate too much gaps. Do not count on school that they are teaching your kids.
