This is an interesting museum. Each of the buildings has items used in the 1800's and 1900's. It brings you back in time when you walk through the various buildings. You can walk into a wood cabin, general store, school house, church, blacksmith, firehouse, etc. There is a section where you can watch model trains moving along train tracts. This museum is worth checking out.

A comprehensive and detailed museum telling the history of settlement, education, and navigation in the area, from the middle nineteenth century through to the mid twentieth century. While the museum misses a number of contexts, such as relations with the Anishinaabe (Indigenous) people and the presence, in South West Ontario, of an African Canadian community, the artifacts and buildings provide a clear picture of the experience of European descended settlers. The museum includes a range mark for navigation on the St. Clair river, a schoolhouse, railway station, caboose, fire hall, and two houses, among other exhibits. Admission fees are quite reasonable. There is a modest gift shop.
