Apprize Landscape Design

I wish there was a 0-star rating. I hired Apprize landscaping to replace my asphalt driveway with a combination of interlock and asphalt in the summer of 2018. There were significant delays getting the job started due to a combination of rain and Apprize was suffering from employee problems. A job that was supposed to start mid summer didn't start until October. In September I had to threaten to cancel the contract if the job didn't start soon. The delay meant the job didn't finish until November. Over the course of the winter in 2018/2019 the newly installed driveway heaved significantly (3+ inches 5 ft from the garage door) and my garage ended up back-filling with water when things started to thaw. Then my garage door froze because the bottom was 2 inches under water, buried in ice when it refroze. The customer service I received was terrible; Denis had no interest in fixing my problem and I had to threaten him with litigation to get him to do something to fix it. I argued that the entire driveway needed to be ripped up and reinstalled. He said that I just need new polymeric sand. I agreed to his suggested fix in the summer of 2019. During the winter of 2019/2020 the driveway heaved again and I had a repeat of the problems from the previous winter. Now Denis tells me that he wants to replace the sand again and that he is unwilling to do anything further to address my concerns. He says that the quality of the clay soil under my driveway is the problem and that he can't do anything about that. He didn't warn me that any of this might occur during installation and now I find myself with a driveway that floods my garage in winter that I paid over $13K for. I would rather have my old beat up asphalt drive back - it didn't heave and flood my driveway. I can't urge you strongly enough to avoid this company; their poor customer service and refusal to stand behind their work means that you might be in for the same experience I am having..

Denis and his team were amazing from start to finish. Denis came with fresh ideas and turned the dream design we wanted for the front of our house, as well as the backyard, into a reality! They did an amazing job on a brand new deck/patio, and totally reinvented our front porch and garden area! Our neighbours are impressed too! They were efficient and worked in the heat and the rain with no complaints. When they were finished they made sure to clean every last area up before leaving. We joked they had become part of the family!! Highly recommend Apprize:)

Denis and his team completed some work on our front walkway recently. We are very pleased with the end result. The design plan provided by Denis was superior to other designs we received during the quote/estimate process and his price was fair compared to the competition. Ken and the installation team were very professional and made changes to the plan as necessary when they weren't happy with the overall look. They also left the job site tidy at the end of each day. I have no problem recommending Apprize Landscaping and would contact them again if future projects arise.

Denis and his crew were phenomenal and I have no hesitation in recommending them to any potential client. Denis gave me excellent advice and planned with me a landscape design for my front and backyard that was beautiful. The work was done in a timely manner and the crew were excellent and the work far exceeded my expectations.
