Very disappointing and dishonest. They are eager to take your credit card and charge for unnecessary work. Avoid them. Your health is not a business.

I have to admit - I had terrible receding gums and I was terrified to get them fixed. However, Dr. Shelemay and Capital Periodontics were absolutely amazing! The procedures seemed effotless (I had two sides done and both times I opted for local freezing - I know, insane choice for someone who was terrified, but I don't regret it), the recovery was easy and nothing like I had imagined in my head. I can't say enough about Dr. Shelemay and his team who were beyond professional and put me at ease throughout every step of my treatment. I have a very wide smile and thanks to Dr. Shelemay and the team at Capital Periodontics, I'm no longer afraid to laugh out loud! :-)

I had a recession at a difficult to reach location, and had consults with other periodontists who said they couldn't treat the issue. Not only was Dr. Shelemay able to do the gum graft, but he did a spectacular job.

I went to Capital Periodontics to have a gum graft done on my front tooth. I am petrified of going to the dentist so was not looking forward to this. I have to say, they made this experience better for me in every way. The office staff is so kind, caring, and go out of their way to help you out and explain things. Shauna, thanks for listening. The dental tecnnicians Brianna and Christine were so kind and patient. Dr. Shelemay is incredible. He understood my fear and did amazing work. I chose sedation since I believe that is the only way I could have done this. I would do sedation again, great not to remember the procedure at all and wake up with a beautiful gum graft. I highly recommend this practice!.
