I took me and my family a couple years back. Dan was a great help if you ever needed him. It was great to make the same memories I had a child with my kids. Now that my youngest is older it's time to go again this summer. Looking forward to booking and making some more great memories

Had boat #14 from a Friday to Monday. We were 14 adults and 2 babies. We had a blast and would rent a houseboat again, just not this one. Only one of the two inboard motors were working, max speed was 5mph when traveling with the wind. The motor was finicky to start and would cut out sometimes. There was no anchor so we were stuck drifting around and someone would have to run down at least every 30 min to move the boat to make sure we didn't end up crashing into shore. Beds and baths were good, hot water worked well. But several times a day the smell of the sewage would fill the cabin and it was really bad. There is a nice size chest freezer, but be prepared to run the gas generator nonstop if you need to keep anything frozen. The inverter system also died on the last night so we needed to reroute the power to the fridge from batteries to generator to keep the food from going bad.

Our group of 15 (10 adults, 5 kids) just got off #14 an hour ago. Had it from Monday to Saturday morning. Had an awesome trip! Moored at a different beach every night. Perfect for swimming & fires. On board GPS Navigation with lake chart maps was great. However, we did find the boats lack maintenance. The fridge, which did not fit into its regular spot because the other one was "out for repairs", couldn't even keep our food cold or frozen. We could also smell propane throughout the trip. We had to use the electric freezer which meant running the generator a lot. Screen doors did not slide very good at all & kept falling off their track. Several deck boards are rotten & should be changed immediately. Staff also forgot to empty the garbage can up front so we had several bags of garbage we had to store until we finished our trip. Before we return we would definitley like to see some maintenance. All other boats look quite old. I would only recommend #14 and ask about these issues before booking. But you will not be disappointed with Lake of the Woods!!
