Advantage Speech Pathology Services

We have been working with ASPS since my son was in jk. He has severe CAS and we have had so much success using the PROMPT therapy that is used. I love seeing the videos of his progress too! I have always felt welcomed and appreciated as a parent and have recommended ASPS to many of our friends who have children with speech difficulties. The staff are friendly, respectful and helpful with booking appointments or answering questions.

My daughter has been with Advantage Speech since she was 10 months old and is now 3.5. She begs to go to speech she loves it so much and has an amazing rapport with all the staff. I found the attention and tailored therapy of private speech far surpasses any publicly funded program I was offered. The SLP's have grown and adapted their therapy with her as she develops and conquers new milestones. The SLP's didn't teach my daughter just speech and language skills they also helped her develop her social skills (your turn/my turn, introducing herself to others) which have really helped her in many settings. I'm not sure we will ever stop going to speech because my daughter loves it so much!

High Staff Turnover We took our 4 year old son to Advantage and were happy with their promptness in getting him in. We liked their hands-on tactics in helping him to form new sounds, and the staff we encountered were well trained, pleasant and professional. However, within the short time we spent with Advantage (under 6 months) he was seen by three separate pathologists. Each one had to spend a session establishing his needs and building a rapport. He cried when each one left as he'd spent time learning to trust them. When the third one quit, so did we.

Not very professional! The giggling and snickering between the 2 girls while on the phone while trying to discuss an issue is Absolutely unprofessional. If there is something else they feel is more important they will push you to the side and do not hide this. Definitely favoritism and they do not stick to their word. If I knew they couldn't stick by our agreed arrangements from the start I'd go else where EDIT I notice I had a reply from your office but when I came back to respond the reply was gone. I can't recall everything it had said but if everything you claim is so great you wouldn't have bad reviews! Clearly there is an issue but seems your office would rather sweep under the rug. In your reply you asked me to call the office to discuss. There is nothing to discuss. We terminated your services many months ago and we will not be back.

This place (more than 1 SP) kept telling me my child was "very stubborn".. when really, after seeing a new pathologist, in the first visit she was able to tell my child has CAS.... big difference from "being stubborn" If you think there is something else wrong with your child, I wouldn't suggest going here. Wasted money and time from her getting actual help.
