North Bay Regional Health Centre: Emergency Department

Me are waiting for a long time, and people come after me goes before me.

The staff are great people and are helpful, but when patients (including myself) have been sitting in the waiting room since the night before till the next morning, it's safe to say the Med system has gone to hell in a handbag. I shouldn't be negative, but explain to me why some of us have to wait ALL NIGHT long just to get checked out by a doctor especially when people are in excruciating pain, coughing every 5-10 minutes or whatever the case may be. Overall, I'm sorry to say my experience was an absolute disappointment, a let down and I could say a LOT more. Again, the staff were helpful, but the systems are still stuck in the early 1900s.

I love this hospital the staff are friendly attentive and very helpful they work with you and keep you informed very organized thank you to all the day surgery staff.

The male nurse in the ER was extremely rude to my stepdaughter and I. Obviously if someone is coming to emerg, they would expect comfort and understanding - not condescending comments and attitude. Will not be chosing this hospital again.

We loved the hospital,, My Fiance needed a bone scan @ 10:30am Feb 18th 2021, he had a needle in his hand for the Bone Scan @ come back to the NUCLEAR MEDICINE DEPT AT 12:30PM, a long time to wait, so we went to Tim's in the Hospital, I am glad I was with him, I was his care taker, he has a lose of memory, I am glad I was with him, the green marks on the floor, was a long time from the front, to the Nuclear Dept, then we went back, at 12:30pm , then David Torrison went for his bone scan, 45 minutes and then he nurse in the hospital got us the 5-0 cab back to the Ontario Northland bus terminal, we waited there, till 4pm @ got the bus home,, in Haileybury @ 6:30PM - ONE STOP FOR U, THEN WE ASKED FOR A TAXI , BUT THAT NEVER CAME, SO WE WALKED HOME, WE GOT HOME AT 7:30PM, VERY TRIED,, AND OUR CAT . PATCHES WAS GLAD TO SEE US,,,
