Beth Tzedec Memorial Park being funerary ground has its frontage delineated by an officious, black iron gate fencing. Although, it is located on a busy street in the city of Toronto; once inside, it is other worldly. Here in death, all are equal. The headstones must conform to the requisite uniformity. The only differences are the inscriptions on the markers which are found to be moving and inspirational. Annually most have varying stupendous flowers. Some have small shrubbery strategically located with or without flora. Benches abound. Within a short walk, one is in g_d's garden. It has been noticed that the trees have majestically and incrementally grown towards the ethereal skies. Fauna is an 'oft seen pleasantry. Red cardinals are a special siting together with other assorted birds. They can be heard chirping as they call out to their mates. One day, scampering squirrels and a black chipmunk with a bushy brown tail were enjoying the grounds but did sneak away in haste before a photographer could possibly line up a snapshot. They are so nimble. The grounds are immaculately kept. The individual in charge has accreditation from the University of Guelph and resides on the grounds with his family and their clever dogs. It is so admirable. The groundskeeper, Mr. Frank Vandermey is an extremely intelligent talented, amiable gentleman toiling regardless of the weather. He can be seen in sunlight, foreboding clouds aloft, rain, sleet or snow. He is an excessively hardworking man. Once during a brief conversation, he used the verb: precipitating in a sentence. Upon reaching home, it was discovered that it is not only a noun. My folly confounded me. As we all know, every day is a new learning experience. All of my beloved family members and our awesome, brilliant, down-to-earth family lawyer of fifty years are buried in Beth Tzedec Memorial Park. It is my honour to have the opportunity to visit them as it is a stone's throw from my home and it brings tranquility, harmony and joy. Solitude and peace abound in the ever changing beauteous landscape. What a privilege
