The Little Owl school has everything that would define a quality education. The material that is covered is comprehensive, relevant, and extremely well-taught. Every subject and topic I wish for my son to learn is offered at Little Owl. Moreover, the school is caring of every childs specific needs; the program is adjusted as required to optimize the student experience. When my son joined the school, he instantly bonded with the students and faculty which was easy enough since he received a warm welcome by all. The school exemplifies values such as respect, kindness, tolerance, patience, balance, and integrity. Communication with parents is professional and considerate. Overall, I have found this school to be excellent.

Love the place. My kid wants to go to school. My kid tells about teachers only good things. We came here after not a pleasure experience with a public school and my little one is so exited to learn new things. Even homework my LO makes without any help. Highly recommended!

After enrolling my child in another school, I can compare and judge appropriately the experience for JK/SK kids. Pros- Yana is very nice, so is the Russian club teacher The worksheets are good level Our child enjoyed going every day The food was the absolute highlight of the entire program. Exceptional. Our kid came home with clean face, clothes every day High level music teacher Cons- Lack of social environment and practical learning. It seems like an hour of TV per day was happening. Eighty coloring pages but no actual arts and crafts shows that kids sit at a desk, often occupying themselves after completing worksheets. No structured rubrics or measurements for growth Student TA's are not competent enough to be working at a private school. Current school has TA's with teaching degrees and life experience, teachers with PhD or high accolades. Owner struggles to take constructive criticism, is overstretched. Driveway is dangerous in winter Recess facility is built for 2 year olds Expansion seemed more important than mastering current programs. Staff were imported from Ukraine without credentials when teachers are struggling to find work in Canada.

Our oldest daughter started to attend Little Owl Private School at the age of 2.5, based on a referral of our family friends whose two kids also attended the school and had a great experience. When she just started at Little Owl, she spoke no English, and we were a bit concerned about her transition to the new environment. After the very first week, all our concerns were alleviated, as every morning Ms. Habibeh would welcome kids to the school and make them feel welcome and at home, regardless what language they spoke. And at that moment we knew that we chose the right school for our kids. That was nine years ago, and during this time, our daughter finished pre-school, kindergarten, as well as 5 elementary classes. She had an absolute blast, and really enjoyed every aspect of the school life, from small size classes (6 - 10 kids per class), fun field trips, and the semi-annual concerts that the entire school body and all parents were looking forward to every year. Our younger son, started attending Little Owl 3 years ago, and just successfully finished SK, and looking forward to grade 1 in September. He made amazing progress during the past few years, especially considering the state of pandemic, and the impact on the kids, and their mental state. Just like our daughter, he was greeted daily by Ms. Habibeh, and felt so comfortable coming to school, knowing that she will be there, no matter how early in the morning it is. We are also very thankful to Ms. Julia, who was able to build a great and trustful relationship with our son, and helped him to succeed in the areas that he was struggling with. She was able to build a connection with him, and unlock his potential. And last but not, I would like to thank and acknowledge the enormous amount of love, energy and dedication that Ms. Natasha (schools principal) gives to the school. She is doing her very best to really get to know the kids and the parents, find creative solutions to whatever situations come up, and creates a very safe, friendly and welcome environment for everyone. We are very fortunate that our kids are able to be a part of Little Owl Private School family, we would absolutely recommend it.
