The instructors are very insightful and very dedicated. There is a great range of expertise on the mat that makes for a wonderful learning experience. The spirit of Aikido is present as well.

I practiced at this dojo for eight years. It's a wonderful place. (I miss it a lot.) All the people are friendly and helpful, and the instructors are extremely knowledgeable and patient. The two head instructors, Jim-sensei and Yumi-sensei, are among the best in Canada. This is a great dojo for both beginners and experienced practitioners. (Kids, too. The kids' classes are a good mix of fun and structure.)

I've been practicing and enjoying aikido at this dojo for over a decade. The atmosphere is welcoming and inclusive, and anyone with a sincere interest in improving their physical fitness while practicing martial arts can join at any time. Jim Barnes and Yumi Nakamura, the head instructors, are two of the highest ranking aikido instructors in Canada. Highly recommended for both new and returning aikido students.

I have been practicing here for years...it is my second home (my wife will verify this ). It is great for physical conditioing, confidence and well being.
