I had an extremely unpleasant experience at the Women's 'Care' Clinic. The clinic was dirty and poorly maintained, and the staff were rude and impatient. The doctor who performed my IUD removal procedure (Saira Markovic) did not introduce herself and was extremely unprofessional, using inappropriate language like "get naked" upon entering the room (with the Dr and two staff in the room). The procedure rooms did not have fully closing doors, which compromised my privacy, and the bathroom (which was like a closet) door did not close or lock. The waiting times were long, and the sounds of girls screaming and crying filled the clinic, which made the atmosphere even more uncomfortable. Support persons were not allowed to wait in the waiting rooms, which was frustrating. To make matters worse, my IUD removal procedure was painful, and I was not offered or provided with any medication to alleviate the pain. The girls and women are rushed out of the clinic like cattle after their 'service' is completed. Upon looking into Dr. Markovic's qualifications, I saw that she has a self-named 'corporation' in which she practices/is 'self-employed' - that licensing looks to be expired as of March 2019. Red flags everywhere. I'm also willing to bet that most (if not all) of the 5 star reviews are paid for or they are from staff/family members lol. Overall, I would not recommend this clinic to anyone seeking women's care services. I would encourage anyone who has had a bad experience to file a complaint against this doctor and this clinic - Know your rights as a patient! My right to "be treated with respect, consideration, dignity and compassion without discrimination as guaranteed by the Ontario Human Rights Code" was violated, along with my "right to be informed of the name and position of the practitioner in charge of your care" and rights to privacy were all violated. Beware!

I had my Abortion on April 1 and here is an honest review. I called to book on the 20 March 2023, the person who answered was a little rude honestly. I felt very rushed to give her a name, and book ... She forgot to give me the time, so I called again. The second person was pleasant to talk to, gave me the appointment time, asked if I needed anything else. I felt more comforted with the second interaction. Not to defend the first person, but I understand, they have a million things to do, what I felt like rushed is just her doing her job. I booked a surgical procedure which was recommended while booking, but she gave me the choice, and offered that the nurse will talk to me during my appointment. A call was done the day before to remind me of the appointment. The day of the appointment: it was quick, I wish we had more privacy when we are saying the reason we were there. I was sitting in the front filling forms, but I could hear everything that the other patients were discussing with front desk. After filling the forms, paid and waited. My bf wasn't allowed in, which I wish he was, I really wanted him there, but I understand that other patients (wearing only gowns ) might not be comfortable. I waited for probably 5-8 min, talked to a nurse. She explained the procedure, checked pressure, hemoglobin, temperature, gave medications and I requested to not discuss my choice (i didn't want to cry anymore) - she was awesome, very straightforward, very nice, and professional. I went in, got a urine sample, changed. The change room has a cabinet and you can leave your clothes ect. Put on your gown, and sit and wait after. I was then called in, the doctor asked me to remove my undies, and go on the table. Ultrasound was completed, and then procedure started. The nurse did an IV, I didn't feel anything, she was gentle. In my defense I donate blood every 3 months so I'm very used to it. I was looking up and distracted by the butterfly. The surgery started, and the nurse kept watching my face, reminding me to breathe, and saying we are almost done, keep breathing, one more second. The doctor wasn't rough, it was uncomfortable... Pressure , a bit of cramps and sharp pain and pressure for maybe 2 minutes, it definitely felt longer but I'm sure it was less time. Once completed, the nurse put my undies back on, with a pad. Took my hand and guided me to recovery room (my personal items was transferred there already) I sat down, the nurse had cookies and water ready, handed me an ice pack. And had the chair footer raised up. There was a bit of cramps, but pain scale is probably 7/10. Dropped to 3/10 by the time I left. By the time I got water, cookies in me, I felt a lot better. I sat in the recovery room for probably 5-10 min, booked the next follow up. And I got a form with what to expect. I was then given the form for my own record. I wasn't rushed, or asked to leave... I don't like attention, or having nurses constantly asking me how I felt but the nurse was definitely keeping an eye on all of us which I appreciated. I then got up, went to change room, changed... And left. My experience is: I wish front desk person was a little bit more compassionate the first time I booked. I wish my bf could have joined. But that's it. I honestly don't know all the bad reviews.... I spent 2 hours in total. The staff were pleasant. The doctor was professional, the nurses were professional. I'm glad it was kept professional because I CHOOSE not to discuss it (they give you the choice in the form) and they respected my choice.

Leaving a review bc some of these reviews scared me but this place was excellent, other than the wait time! But thats to be expected and wasnt horrible (about 30-40 mins later than scheduled appt time). The doctor was incredible and my IUD was replaced within seconds with very minimal pain. They even gave me naproxen :)

I find it interesting that positive reviews get responses from the owner, and negative reviews get ignored or taken down, as mine was. I would have hoped they would show a little empathy or concern about women who have had bad experiences with them so they could learn and improve, but clearly they only accept the good and discredit the bad. I wont get into the complete details of my absolutely awful experience again, as clearly something I said gave them the ability to remove it. I promise I was not trying to be actively insulting, only provide a real, honest review of just how uncomfortable they made me feel, as well as the other girls who were there and clearly in distress from the way in which they were handling things (girls forced to sit outside in the hallway on the floor while patients entering have to step over them to get in the office, support persons sent away, the receptionist pressuring myself and other girls multiple times into doing the paid surgical procedure rather than the non-invasive but free pill method, the ridiculously long wait times and lack of communication, the literal rudeness and lack of empathy for privacy and discomfort of girls coming into the clinic Ill stop there). The very minimum these women helping women could do is acknowledge the women who did not at all feel helped or supported.
