Metropolitan Movers Storage and Packing Supplies

I do not recommend booking this company, particularly if you are a woman living alone.This was the worst moving experience I have ever had. My furniture was damaged because it was not packed safely into the truck, the movers made inappropriate comments about my body and appearance, the staff threatened to charge my credit card more money after the manager let them know I was unhappy with the service. I sent an email with photographs to the company to apply for the liability insurance to replace my damaged furniture and still have not heard back from them. When I call I am just left on hold.

I have heard a lot of stories and reviews with other movers that they stop in the middle of delivery and ask for more money or they charge for the hourly rate when they start from their office and take a lot of routes to reach the destination to increase the number of hours. I havent booked Metropolitan movers by myself but my cousin did. He got suggestion from Facebook group and he booked. On the day of moving, they came late. (The reason they got delayed because they were coming from different moving location). Its understandable. They helped us with disassembling the beds and they did really great job. They took 15 mins break after loaded the stuff into the Van which is completely understandable. They unloaded the stuff completely in 1-2 hours. No complaints at all. They charged the amount from when they reached our cousins apartment to unloading the last box. I will for sure try these movers next time and I would recommend for sure. Thanks

Booked by telephone. Received an email confirmation. I contacted one week in advance to confirm my move. On moving day, movers arrived 6 1/2 hours late. They were due at my home at 9:00 am and arrived at 3:30 p.m. when I needed to hand my keys to the new owner by 5:00 p.m. Not enough word space here to describe the stress I endured that day. Highly undependable. Use at your own risk.

We moved from Midtown to North York and used Meteopolitan Movers last December from our 3 bedroom house and we had an amazing experience. Movers were very polite, fast and professional. Booking process was smooth. Would definitely recommend this company to my friends and family.
