DO NOT USE THIS SHIPPING COMPANY!!! CARL LUDFORD IS A CROOK AND IS ONLY IN THIS BUSINESS FOR THE MONEY. HE HAS NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AND WHEN YOU DEMAND SERVICE HE HANGS UP IF YOU CAN EVEN GET HIM AT ALL!! DON'T BELIEVE HIM IF THEY TELL YOU ALL SHIPPING COMPANIES HAVE BAD REVIEWS. THERE IS A REASON WHY!!! HE WILL FIND A WAY TO BLAME EVERYONE ELSE BUT HIMSELF FOR THE POOR SERVICE!!! WHEN IT WAS FINALLY DELIVERED, THEY SENT 2 OLD DRIVERS WHO COULD NOT DRIVE THEIR TRUCK UP THE DRIVEWAY AND SAID "IT WAS NOT THEIR JOB TO UNLOAD THE TRUCK". THAT WAS AFTER PAYING HIM $4000 CDN TO SHIP AND DELIVER AND ANOTHER $495,000 JMD TO CLEAR IT. HE THREATENED TO LEAVE OUR GOODS ON THE WHARF UNLESS WE PAID HIM AND WE ARE STILL WAITING ON A CUSTOMS RECEIPT!!! May 11th, 2023

Shipped 4 Barrels on July 24, 2021. Made several calls and was told they are in Kingston. Their Kingston representative said that was a lie, they were not there. Got a call on September 22 to say there have arrived, we needed an appointment to get them and was given Sept. 23 or Oct 1( of course they would charge daily storage if you waited until Oct 1). Went to the Kingston Whalf on Sept 23, 2021 paid the shipping company $9,000 plus paid $5975 on behalf of Ludlow Shipping( not sure what that fee was for) waiting all day only to.be told after 4pm that only 2 Barrells are there and mentioned on the shipping papers. Contact was made with Kim, their.Kingston representative, she confirmed that only 2 Barrells were received. Had to put my phone on automatic.redial to.finally get Mr Ludford who just told me he.will be calling Kim and.call me back, and.of.course,, its almost 5pm and no calls from.him. Mar 16th, 2022

I called the company and communicated the date of travel. As someone who was unknowledgeable about the process, I sought their advice as to when was the appropriate time to ship. The representative gave me a timeline and informed me that I was to factor-in delays due to covid. Fast forward to a month and two weeks later, I got a called to say the barrels arrived in my home country. In my communication to the representative, I clearly provided my date of travel and informed them that I intended to make use of the duty free allowance that is offered by the government. Now that the barrels are in my home country, I am still dealing with people who are uninformed in an area that they specialize in. Im being told that the storage fee is per day and not per barrel per day. Calls to the wharf in my home country has revealed that the information provided by their representative in my home country was also incorrect. I am learning about the process through errors which is caused by information provided by the company and now I have to be spending more money purchasing calling cards to contact the wharf as I cannot take the advice provided by the representatives which has consistently proven to be incorrect.
