Cassandra Public School

Greatest Primary School. The teachers are very invested in the students. They take bullying very serious and investigate any parent concerns. Mr. Heritage is the best. Fundraisers, movie nights in the gym, the kids just love it. It gives them a sense of community and belonging and will have found memories of school being a great place. They run a very enriched curriculum and are so dedicated to their students. The passion for learning, and instilling learning and love of school in these students is amazing to see. Literally these kids don't want to leave Cassandra Public School at the end of a school day and want to stay and social with their teachers and friends. We're so lucky to have our kids at this school.

I have to second the other reviews that said they don't care about kids getting bullied. The principal called my sister at work to tell her my nephew had scratched his bully - which was an accident. Then his bully went and bragged to his friends about how he got my nephew "in trouble". They know this kid is violent. Last week their teacher had to take the rest of the class to the library for safety because he was having a tantrum and throwing chairs around in the classroom. And yet they single out my nephew who is always actively protecting bullied kids - especially the younger ones. When I went to this school 25 years ago, they took bullying seriously. Oh, and might I add that the classrooms are equipped with normal scissors INSTEAD OF BLUNT SAFETY SCISSORS. Great idea, guys. I hope the TDSB has good lawyers for when what's bound to happen inevitably happens. Finally, when kids are sent to the office, they have cookies and games. Some punishment.
