The Giles School

We have a two and a half year old at Giles daycare and we're very happy. As the tiniest person at Giles, our little guy gets all the attention you could want. The staff is lovely and caring and the older students treat him like he is King of the school! Overall, Giles is a tremendously warm, and supportive place.

I absolutely loved going to The Giles School. I had an excellent experience. All my teachers that I had were so kind and loving and helped me and other students when we needed help. I absolutely loved the fact that The Giles School has three languages to learn, French, English, and Mandarin. Overall, I had a excellent experience over the years.

Excellent 10 year experience for our 3 children and as parents too. Without hesitation, I gladly recommend The Giles School to any prospective parent. The Giles School is truly an academic leader providing a solid unparalleled foundation for our children, plus a rare bonus of learning three languages (French, English, and Mandarin). Our children always felt encouraged and motivated to perform their best because of a very supportive, nurturing and positive environment. Smaller class sizes allowed their teacher to tailor to individual academic needs, including extra help or even accelerated academic challenges. The teachers and administration have always been easily accessible too. Giles also has a strong "down to earth" and multicultural community. The teachers are fantastic, and quite skilled not only in teaching the lessons but also keeping our children positively engaged. There is a mutually respectful atmosphere between the teachers and their students. I can honestly say, our children adored most of their teachers. Overall great Giles experience for our entire family.

I have been very impressed with the quality of education at the Giles School! I toured multiple schools before selecting The Giles School. I chose Giles because of its advanced curriculum and nurturing environment. Giles excels in multiple disciplines. Specifically instruction in multiple languages including French and Mandarin. In addition, my daughters are all advanced in math, science, reading and writing due to their education. The teachers are willing to meet students where they are at academically and customize lessons to the child's capabilities. This has allowed my daughters to progress at an advanced pace in many subjects while ensuring they are at grade level in others. My daughters love the Giles community especially the friends that they have made. Giles is a small school that creates a tight parent community and enables teachers to give each student individual attention. The school provides a balanced environment with learning, fun and life skills. This has been true at all grade levels. For instance, my daughter who attends pre-K has learned extensive French, numeracy and writing skills and also has fun with art projects, singing, games, and playing with her friends. She asks me if she can go to school on the weekends because she loves it so much. The small class sizes, attentive teachers and great school community have been instrumental to both of my daughters' happiness allowing them to flourish. I believe they will be prepared for any high school program because of the rigorous instruction in languages, math, science, literacy and life skills. I highly recommend this school to anyone who values high quality education, small class sizes, a nurturing environment and a close-knit community!! Merci Giles!!

Both of my kids attended Giles from JK and PK to grade 8 and we have a lot of great things to say about the school. Our experience at Giles was exceptional: Amazing teachers who care, administration who love what they are doing, great curriculum, small class sizes, great environment and very welcoming atmosphere. Academic program is second to none to say the least and each student is treated with care and respect. Giles integrates compassion into their teaching standards, emphasizes the importance of values, and builds leaders through each of their classes and lessons. They are great about sharing moments of pride they see within your child, their good behaviours and achievements, and they know the importance of getting the parents involved should an issue arise, and do it in a very respectful, approachable manner. It is a small school and that allows for a lower student to teacher ratio, giving students more confidence when asking questions, engage in group activities, and opportunities for one-on-one time with the teachers. The administration is open minded and think outside the box to make the school a successful educational experience for the students. Giles is committed to the whole child. There were some issues within the upper management level some time ago which cost the school dearly, but they were resolved and everything is in good hands now. If you want to give your child a stellar education while they are nurtured to their best, most confident selves then I encourage you to seek out this school.
