Markov's Aquatics Swimming Club

Our son has spent two years with Markov Aquatics and weve been impressed by his rapid progress from a kid still learning to swim to a competitive swimmer who is proud of his achievements and is driven to train and do better. Markov provides a disciplined training environment in small groups so the kids benefit from his experience and personalized coaching and learn proper technique from the start.

While Coach Markov is tough, my daughter has shown immense improvement in the few months she has been his student and really looks forward to her classes. The Markov Aquatics competitive team also punches well above its weight at competitive heats.

My two boys started to learn from Markov since they were very small. Their achievements are way beyond my expectations. My younger son currently has 5 #1 rankings in Canada for boys born in the same year. They have learnt more than swimming in the club; hardworking; self-discipline; no pain no gain; all those have been incorporated into their daily life. I am very thankful for the attention and the experience they would not receive anywhere else. I highly recommend Markov to anyone who is looking for serious swimming training.

FROM ZERO TO HERO IN A FEW SHORT MONTHS or from not knowing how to swim to bronze medalist in less than 6 months. To say that I am impressed with Markov Aquatics would be a massive understatement! We were blown out of the water (no pun intended) with our daughter's progress. After four years of stagnation at another swimming club she only knew how to swim backstroke. We would go to beaches and my daughter would have to "swim" in shallow waters or wait on the shore. It was so incredibly frustrating. ENTER MARKOV AQUATICS: within 3 weeks my daughter swam like a fish and I was absolutely astonished by her technique and she was faster than me and my wife. BY FAR! Mr. Markov gave us a detailed report of her strengths and weaknesses and gave us a timeline that would materialize if we were committed. Things were going smoothly when COVID hit, so pools were some of the first casualties so all trainings stopped. With the reopening our daughter restarted training and in May 2022 she competed for the first time in an important inter provincial competition. She won two bronze medals and obtained very impressive times which placed her among the top 50 swimmers in Canada on her age group. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND MARKOV AQUATICS for the following reasons: 1) Your child will be part of a family and receive personalized attention from Mr. Markov. In other clubs kids are just a number and you often don't see any results (that was our case and many other parents had similar stories). 2) Mr. Markov is the most dedicated coach I have ever met. Our daughter did other competitive sports and the difference between Mr. Markov and other coaches is night and day. 3) You will gain access to one if not THE BEST swimming coach in the Greater Toronto Area with a lot of medals under his belt. 4) Personal attention: Mr. Markov sends you emails at 3am suggesting new things help your kid. Tell me when you received such email from other coaches. 5) Your kids will learn to work hard and be discipline if you desire that. 6) You will discover they are able to do things you never dreamed of. For us, it was a shock to find out our daughter was good at swimming when for FOUR YEARS she did absolutely NOTHING but wasted her time and ours. While I could write for days why you should join Markov Aquatics I realize few people have the time to read endless reviews so I will end with this piece of advice: Join Markov Aquatics at least for a year. In the worst case scenario, your child will "only" learn how to swim. Best case, he or she will join the Canadian National Team or the Olympics, then the sky is the limit!

I highly recommend swimming lessons with Andy! He is professional, patient and motivates you to improve to your personal best. It has been a great experience and my fitness has improved thanks to him!
